The Trans Desire to Become An Inchoate Shapeshifting Abomination In Open Defiance Against All Laws Of Men and Gods (or TTDTBAISAIODAALOMAGS) is a wuxia/xianxia smut novel about... well... that! Why? Because.

Jokes aside, I just love the genres; I grew up watching them on TV, after all. And I wanted to write something outside of the sci-fi and western fantasy that I'm more used to making.

So what IS xianxia/wuxia?

To sit down and give an exhaustive, nuanced description would take all day. The basics of it is that xianxia and wuxia are both genres of Fantasy heavily rooted in Eastern mythologies and martial art traditions, with xianxia being high fantasy and wuxia being low fantasy.

Wuxia heroes are mortals. They may have extraordinary, borderline supernatural fighting prowess, but they are still mortals. They live and fight in the world of mortal men and are weighted down by mortal concerns such as "Oh no! My father-in-law Genghis Khan is gonna invade my home country of China!"

Xianxia heroes aren't; They are, at minimum, demigods. They live for million of years and they worry about incursions by the multiverse-devouring demon primarch. Whenever they clash, they get up to some Asura Wrath-type behaviors.

So which one is this?

While I will be using a lot of xianxia elements, TTDTBAISAIODAALOMAGS ultimately falls more on the wuxia side of things when it come to scale. I grew up with things like Investiture of the Gods, Three Kingdoms, and Journey to the West on TV, so that is just what I gravitate toward writing. Beside, I'm just not a fan of writing grandiose scope like what you see in xianxia.

There will be flashy magic and cataclysmic clashes, but if you're looking for a story about a godly protagonist who can destroy millions of universes in one punch, this won't be it.

And what about these Celestial Bounties?
